Welcome to learn the basics of dog massage - For the best of your dog and a delight for the owner!
This massage course is suitable for all dogs and owners. The course includes long continuous video that is also divided into nine shorter sections. Watch the videos of massage tehniques and basic dog anatomy videos at first for an easy start.
From massage techniques, we learn the most commonly used brushing and stroking/squeezing techniques. The dog can be massaged while the dog is standing, sitting or lying on its side.
Bonus videos include leg stretching techniques and back mobilization.
Why should you massage your dog?
The massage relaxes your dog from the stresses of the day and helps dogs who exercise a lot to recover. It also helps to relieve naturally occurring stiffness in older dogs. Massage increases superficial blood circulation and metabolism in muscles, relaxes tense muscles and relieves pain.
Massaging soothes the dog, and also increases the trust between the owner and the dog through gentle touch. Massage can even act as a stress reliever for both the dog and the owner.
Dog relaxation massage can be done every day. It is not always necessary to massage the entire dog, but only to apply the massage to a specific area.
Guided by the course videos, you will learn how to massage and relax your dog with gentle and safe touches. The purpose of the course is to encourage and guide you to boldly relax your dog through massage.
Remember that massaging does not replace medical aid - if you suspect there's something wrong with your loved one - please contact veterinarian!
TEACHER INTRODUCTION
"My name is Jerry Ketola and I'm a sports masseur and osteopath by profession. For over 12 years I have specialized in treating our four-legged friends and gaining more knowledge about their physique, handling and treatment possibilities. While fixing their owners as well!
I have immensely enjoyed taking care of all dogs and seeing their sincere gratitude for the treatment. Together with Topi, we wanted to provide the dog owners with a way to influence their dog's well-being. To the surprise of many, massaging dogs at home is easy and rewarding for both parties.
You are warmly welcomed by us all to join this course. Enjoy learning and have a super good time with massaging your dog! My knowledge is at your service!"
